About Design Girl Jen Halman
Design Girl® was launched in Australia in March 2010 when Jen and her family returned to Adelaide after spending a few years in the United States. Jen is originally from Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
For many years Jen worked in administration and accounting, mainly in the non-profit sector. Throughout her life she has spent her spare time building websites and doing freelance graphic design. After Jen returned to Australia and faced putting her young son in daycare she decided to put her creativity and design experience to use and launched Design Girl®.
Jen is professionally trained in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Flash and works from her home office in New Port, South Australia.
Why the Bison logo?
Jen has a Native American background and the Bison symbolises her homeland and the Great Plains of South Dakota.
